Buying a PS3 but what else to get online?????
Hiya I'm gettin my son a PS3 80gb for christmas, now he wants to go online with it but I don't no exactly what I need to buy in order for him to be able to do this! I no I need something called a router but thats about it lol!
Any help would be great! I'll put some info I think you might need to no below for anyone who can help!
I have a computer downstairs with virgin but i dont have a home phone
Also my son has a computer in his room but is not online because I don't no how to get him online so if I could tie both the PS3 & his computer in together (if poss) that would be great

If that's the case you'll already have a router as that is what your computer uses to connect.
Firstly, is your computer connected to the router/modem from Virgin with a wire or is a wireless connection? If it's wireless, then the PS3 will already work as it is wireless enabled. You might then have to buy a wireless receiver for your son's computer upstairs.
If your router is wired into your computer and does not have wireless capability, then you'll need a wireless router. You can leave it by your computer and continue to connect that with a wire to stop you having to buy a wireless dongle for both your computer and your son's computer.
