Rubella/German Measles and Bloody Do-Gooders.... (can I say Bloody?)
7 Answers
My best friends baby boy (8 months old) was rushed in to hospital at the weekend with roaring temerature and a very suspicious rash covering his little body. At first they did fear the worst and meningitus but after tests etc they now believe it to be German Measles/Rubella.
Now I'm going to have a rant...... He isn't old enough to have the MMR jab, as it is given at approx 15 months, he has had all his other injections up to date and will have the MMR when its time. But due to all the bloody do-gooding, hippy, love child, organic, don't smack your kid brigade, German Measles, Mumps, whooping cough are all making a comback. And with a vengeance. In 10 years time we will be seeing epidemics of all of these awful diseases. But what annoys me more than I can say is.... IT CAN BE PREVENTED.... Its called the MMR vaccine. I am so angry that a poor innocent little baby is suffering and he needn't be. MAKE IT COMPULSORY.

do they not realise that there are children out there who cannot be given the vaccinations for some genuine reason or another and these children are being put at risk through no fault of their (or their parents) own.
I too had a little one taken into hospital with a measles type rash that didnt disappear under a glass, he was fine but I know exactly what your friends going through and i hope baby is well very soon.
