wii internet connection

i have a wired router from bt ,it came with a yellow and blue cable, i use the yellow cable to connect to the internet with my laptop. i know i need a lan adapter but witch cable do i need to connect my nintendo wii to the net..... and is it straight forward to get started...does the distance from the router to the wii make any diffrence...
any advice would be a great help .

This is what you will need:

You then plug a normal ethernet cable into it and connect it to a spare ethernet port on your router. The distance of the Wii from the router is not really relevant as it will only be as far away as the cable length you buy.
You can get a LAN adapter for cheaper at play.com
