Spyro Game

There's a Spyro The Dragon game for the Nintendo DS called Shadow Legacy, and my daughter is stuck on it, does anyone know how to cheat the bit where you have to defeat the Shadow Minion? None of us can do it and she's very frustrated. Thanks :)
