As it's Christmas, I thought I would like to ask all of you what your top favourite Christmas carol is? My favourite has to be the one below....... I think it's a lovely carol which I like very much. Sorry about the poor quality in the video. My next 5 favourites are 1. Sussex Carol 2. Hark the Herald Angels 3. Once in Royal David's City 4. Adam Lay Ybounden 5. In Dulci Jubilo
id say ''SILENT NIGHT'' its just sounds magical and whenever i hear it it takes me back to being a kid, where no-one had worrys, when summers were hot and days seem to last weeks, and christmas was white and had a truer meaning then it does now..........
Away in a Manger when sung by small children together with the nose picking and spats with children standing next to them. I remember all those Christmas Carol Concerts LOL
"Gaudete" ("Rejoice") is a sacred Christmas carol, composed sometime in the 16th century, most likely in reference to Gaudete Sunday, the third Sunday in Advent. It is celebrated in many churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, and the Church of England, falling between December 11 and December 17 inclusive. The song was published in the Piae Cantiones, a collection of Finnish/Swedish sacred songs published in 1582. No music is given for the verses, but the standard tune comes from older liturgical books.
Enjoy.........
Did anyone have carol singers coming to their door?
We had 3, or was it four young lads singing carols not very well. But,we gave them some money and sweets to shut them up quickly.....heh,heh,heh....
Well, getting a bit tired now,so I will finish off with the second favourite in my list above.
