XBOX ring of death

About half hour ago, my xbox, got thhat ring of death thing come up, screen says system error, and the red light is on the ring, what do i do, please please help, i cant live without it...lol, has it gone forever? will it re boot or is there anything i can do, its only a year old?

sorry but it's probably seriously ill and will need to be shipped off to the xbox hospital in Frankfurt. Try turning it off at the mains and leaving it off for a while, then turning it on again, but to be honest, normally when you get the ring of death it will have to be mended. We got the ring of death once, and a re-boot was all it needed, but the second time it happened the motherboard inside had failed and we had to send it away. They say it normally takes a fortnight. My friend's took less than a week to go there, be fixed and come back, but ours took ten days and my boss' took almost a month!

My blokes did same last week and I;m the one to send it back. Just go to microsoft website and set up a repair, they send you a label which I;ve just got today its for a place in Germany and someone comes to pick it up and says it should take 2 to 3 weeks

This happened to my partner's xbox. He went to Gamestation and paid about �30 for a year's warranty, and they exchanged it there and then for him. I'm not sure how he talked them into selling him the warranty as the xbox already had the 3 red lights when he took it in. It's Worth a try though. Also I think some independent games shops and some sellers on eBay will offer to repair them for you.

ring of death is under 3yr warranty. microsoft will repair for free
