Linking XBox to the Internet

Sorry to come across really dim but we have the internet at home and my partners son has asked if he can bring his X Box here and play against his friends online ... do we need a seperate connection or anything??

sometimes, just sometimes though, you have to manually set the xbox to your internet service provider, using information that is very easily available from your ISP.
Check with your partners son that he knows how to set it up otherwise you could spend several very frustrating hours fiddleing with settings.

You can attach the xbox to your tv very straightforwardly. It wont connect to a standard PC monitor but some of the very new and expensive monitors may have a HDMI input.
Your problem comes because he wants to play Live over the internet with other gamers. Whilst this is a great way to play, if this is a one of or simply an occasional visit it may be more hassle than its worth to connect his xbox to the internet.
