GTA 4 Problem (Xbox 360)

This game has always worked fine but the last 3 or 4 times I've tried to play it the game loads but the camera just rotates 360 degrees endlessly. It doesnt respond to any key-presses.

Its not a controller problem as all other games work fine. Any clues?

Can you assign keys to certain movements? If that fails, maybe get Blockbuster to clean the disc.

I went as far to delete my save file from memory and start afresh. The game now asks me to sign in to my profile (even when I am signed in) and doesnt register any button presses when I attempt to sign in. The only button that works is the big 'X box' button that I used to power the console off from the controller.

Strange as no other games cause problems.
