Sims 2 Exchange

I have got some custom content 'exchange' items for my sims 2. everything is working fine except makeup.. i can't delete it if i don't like it. the wee bin at the bottom doesn't come up so i can delete a blusher or whatever because i have so many now and half of them are just bad so i don't even like them! how can i delete them?

You could go into the game directory and remove the file (Provided you know what it was called), but I'm not sure. I have never tried this. If your game dies, it wasn't me who told you this...
If your problem was solved, I get the credit.

Hahaaha! I suppose i could but i don't want to risk it as it takes ages to re-install. Just seems weird.. there must be some way i can delete it?

When you install cc into sims 2 it goes into a folder in your documents folder. There should be an EA Games/Sims 2 file, within that is another folder called downloads, make a copy of the folder and contents by copy/pasting to a different location. Go into the original downloads folder and delete any of the cc you wish to remove. Job done :-)
This in no way affects the game play and you don't have to uninstall/reinstall anything.
As for the folder you copy/pasted.....if the game runs ok when you restart it you can now either delete the duplicate folder or save it as a back-up.
