XBOX 360 Kinect
My oldest son has a birthday coming up and is dropping huge hints for a new XBOX 360 - will the new one (which is out in July) a rip off or is it going to be worth the money? Thanks

I think MS have shot themselves in the foot with the Kinect pricing. They are after the casual gamer and both existing 360 owners and potential new ones to lure them away from the wii or ps3.
If you own a 360 you have to shell out £130+ and that doesnt even include a game. ps3 owners can get Move for less than £50 with 3 games thrown in.
I was excited about Kinect as it has enormous potential but for me £130+ is far too steep.
Be aware that you also need to stand a minimum of 6 feet away from the camera which will also limit sales.
Sorry MS you've let me down!

The new xbox (slim) has a built in power supply for project natal/kinect, where as the old (current xbox) would require a sepearate power supply.
Also the new xbox has a built in 250gb hard drive (available sepeartly for old machines), and a Wireless N adaptor built in.
So there are some benefits for the new console.
The console launches end of this week coming. Project Natal/ Kinect launches Novemeber, xbox have NOT as of yet announced pricing for it, although the internet has it at 100 plus pounds. (Microsoft have not said how much it will be, the whole £100 pricing has been established for a price that MS put out on the web as a guide) Games for kinect will cost in the region of £40 also.
