Picture of spider

This is the spider that is in my bathroom. I havent had the heart to vacuum it yet but also I can not work out wether its a black widow or not? What do you think?

I couldn't get a poto of where the red spot should be. When I took a photo of it it ran off and at the same time my hand touched its web so I dropped my camera. Good job its shock proof!

yuck I would vacuum it up wash the floor and the skirting boards too, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole family didn't live behind the skirting board

Black Widows don't live in the UK but false black widows do - google it. Before you do Flash Spray with bleach and the Dyson wouldn't go amiss here.

I just googled it and it does look just like one. Shame you can't see the other side to check for red markings.

Looks very much like the spider that was in my bath the other day, I put it out of the window, perhaps it ran round to yours. It's not doing you any harm, it's catching flies etc in your house - please don't vacuum it!

Well I hope it isn't a black widow as I had a look this morning and there was no sight of it! Maybe me taking a photo of it scared it off. This is not good.

I just asked a work mate who is a local and he said it could possibly be dangerous. He said this looks like a black widow and also apparantly if I see a green spider I have to run as they are really bad. I hope I can find it when I get home.

Looks close enough to be a black widow although it doesn't seem to have underside markings

Apparently black widows will scuttle off and hide pretty sharpish too like your one did -

But doesn't seem to have the markings of a European Black Widow

Thats true but I read somewhere not all of them have markings though. But it isnt as black as the one in the link you posted. Where I am staying now is in Egypt so not quite Europe. Thanks for the input though.
