Opti-myst electric fire effect

Im looking to buy an electric stove type fire. From what I can see Opi-myst seems to be the most realistic effect on the Dimplex range of fires. Has anyone any experience of these fires. The one Im looking at is the Dimplex Cadogan.

not seen this type before and at £600+ i wouldn't even look at it.
it has a two litre water tank on this but so far haven't been able to fathom out what this is for unless it something to do with the flame smoke effect . but i will say all this type of electric fires with fan heaters built in are not silent when the heatings on and that puts me off,
i personally go for a 3kw oil heater as i am all electric
