Finding A Channel For Nintendo Wii
5 Answers
I recently bought a Nintendo Wii, and set it up for my old TV, which worked fine. I have now bought a new TV, and have a few problems -
Do I need to set the Wii console up again?
How do I find a channel for the Wii to be on - I've looked it up on the nintendo support site, but although there are many answers there, none seem to be quite what I'm looking for - quote
"•Cycle through your television's input channels (usually with the "Input Select" or "Source" button on your TV's remote control) to find the input select that has the image in color."
I have been through every one of the channels, and there does not seem to be anything - and the Wii is plugged in, with all of this done
" 0.On your television, locate a set of yellow, red, and white holes labeled "Input."
•Audio/Video (AV) inputs are typically located on the back of the TV, but occasionally are on the sides, top, or bottom. They may also be located behind a hidden panel or door in the television.
•Look for inputs marked Audio and Video IN.
•Do NOT connect the system to anything marked OUT.
•If you are unable to locate these inputs on your TV, click here for tips.
0.Insert the AV Multi Out plug of the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console."
If it's any help, the TV is a Technika 24" HD TV/DVD

The instructions above are refering to photo sockets.
Does your new tv have phono sockets? Te should be coloured, but there is always a chance that they are not.
What are the connections on the Wii - are they phono cables as well?
Match the colours - video is yellow and should go to yellow, audio white goes to white and red to red.

Thanks Tuvok and Beunchico, on my old TV (which was very old!) I plugged the 3 coloured leads into a scart lead and plugged that into my old tv, and found the channel on no 9 on the tv - very easy
tuvok, I have the 3 coloured leads plugged into:
Yellow - video
White - Audio L
Red - Audio R
on the TV
When pressing ource I get a list of
Freeview, which it's on) Analogue, Component, DVD, HDMI 1, HDMI2, Video or USB Media - which of these should I use?
