Boil In The Bag Cod In Parsley Sauce.
I remember there used to be a decent sized piece of cod in each portion.
I bought some the other day and the fish, no longer cod, was about the size of a fish finger without its breaded coating.
Is this an example of Wagon Wheel syndrome (things are smaller now than they used to be) or has the amount of fish been reduced?

That adds to the cost, meaning that cod is now quite an expensive fish (as any chip shop owner can testify to). So Young's, which seems to be almost the only firm still selling boil-in-the-bag fish in parsley sauce, has been forced to switch to using Alaskan pollock. (Many cafés and restaurants, such as those within Morrisons stores, have now done the same).
However Iceland are still using cod in their own-brand product:

At least we longer have patronising/sexist ads for the stuff!
