Playstation or XBox? Also recommended games!
8 Answers
Hi everyone.
First of all, let me tell you I know nothing about gaming. I want to buy my husband an XBox360 or PS2. There are always loads on sale on eBay for one thing. What do I need to buy? Also, can you recommend any fantasy type games. We have stuff like Baldur's Gate, American MacGee's Alice, which he currently plays on his Apple Mac computer. I know he wouldn't like the shootem up gang type games.
Thanks everyone. Sorry for being so thick :-)

'Oblivion' is very good of it's type, sounds like your husband would like it...Having said that, you might want to find out which platform (X-box or PS) has the most games of that type; these sort of games tend to find their natural home on PC/Mac....

Hi I have both a PS2 and an Xbox360.
With an Xbox360 if you have broadband you can literally turn on the console and play games against people from all over the world, see people and talk to anyone over the xbox360 Live service (its great) The games on the 360 are very high quality graphics wise and the machine is the most up to date and best around at the minute, it was released Dec 2005
The PS2 was released Dec 2001 and is very outdated. Games look basic and cheap, plus the online service PS2 has is no match against the 360.
Also you could wait for a PS3 but it is the same type of next-gen console and when it comes out the games for release are mostly games that has been released for the 360 already!!
So realisticly a 360 tops them all, and if you get it - be sure to try out UNO because on the 360 you can also download games straight to the 360's harddrive - UNO and Texas Holdem are the best downloaded games to own on the Xbox Live Arcade. www.xboxlivepipeline.com
