PS2 Sound Problem

My PS2 won't play any sound through the coaxial connection. Works fine if I connect it through scart.
Has this got anything to do with the fact that it's Spanish, because I remember something similar happening with a UK video player and Spanish TV

Hi Bob

You may need a co axial cable with a source switch on it costs about �5 - �10
try to get a goldplated one.
