Nintendogs - Lost dog on walk!

A friend's 6 year old son has lost his dog (Nintendogs)whilst on a walk and is devastated! My daughter has the game and this has never happened to her so I can't help. We think he probably 'expired' due to lack of food but apparently they were not informed of what actaully happened. Any help/answers gratefully received!

Oh no!! It does say in the manual that your dog can run away but not to worry he'll come back. When he returns you have to show him lots of love and not give him into trouble.

My son lost his dog while walking him, she has yet to return. Not sure why this happened.

They are suppose to return with a present, but this doesn't
always happen.

It will come back, that's for sure, i once left my dogs 'Playing' , went back an hour later, all three dogs had gone, but they came back the next day, I promise, itll come back!
