Hi

Am trying to connect a wirelss router to a mates PC

I have the whole wireless thing up and running as the PS3 pics it up and works.

The PC isnt wireless enabled so thought that i could just plug in via the router ethernet ports.

I have enabled the PC ethernet port.

He is on orange/wanadoo.

When i click on connect to wanadoo broadband it tries to dial and fails and cant get it online.

The router is a belkin, his pc is running XP.

Help asap please.

Cheers

you don't need to dial anything the router has already done that, you should just connect using the cable open internet explorer and it will work.

if not goto start menu > settings > network connections

right click on the local area connection and select properties, scroll down on the protocols and double click on TCP/IP and make sure both obtain IP adress automatically and obtain DNS servers automatically are ticked click ok and it should work
Are you sure the router is enabled to allow other computers than his own to access the internet. On my belkin you can put extra security measures so that only your own PC is allowed but you can add other addresses if you want.
