mgs4 , how to destroy vamp

what is the strategy to destroy this git, everytime i kill him he just comes to life again and now its boring. at shadow moses level where wee robot friend is trying to get rex up and running in a room you cant get out of until you nail vamp.solution to this would be much appreciated ie is the weapon of choice specific to this task? cheers

I know you posted this a wile ago so I'm sure you've solved it buy now, however; you have to inject him with the needle.
