Mario and Sonic triple jump

I am having trouble getting a medal on triple jump on Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, can anybody gice me some hints or tip on what character to use etc.?

Instead of actually using the wiimote in a running motion and using all your energy just give it a firm but consistent shake and time your flicks just right. Some characters jump longer but i found that mario sonic and tails all pretty much jumped the same distance the only ones that jump more were the longer legged characters, ive had the game for months and am still trying to get all medals on all ppl to finish it i got bored in the end! well good luck with it and enjoy x

I have the game and was once playing with my friend. One of us used the wii remote and the othe used the nunchuck,(we got 3 golds as sonic or mario I forgot...=-()

first, raise the wii remote, then, right when the smallest c.m. of your foot touches the ground, with any charachter, raise the nunchuck, then repeat only this time, re-raising the wii remote
