Internet Connection on Wii

I'm trying to set up Internet connection on Wii. It detects my cable router (netgear) but when I input my WEP key (exactly the same as the one I have been provided and accessed my Internet conenction, it said error, so I can't carry on setting up internet connection on it.

Why doesn't it accept this key. Please help me. I would like to be able access the Internet using my new Wii.

Are you typing in the right key? Capitals or small keys.
