We have one broadband to our house, when no-one else is using a pc the x-box 360 is ok to play on line, but if anyone else starts downloading anything the xbox is unusable. So, how much band width does a X-box 360 need to be played on line? thanks

Apparently, Broadband providers are throttling recognised transfers involving on-line gaming..
Not that they will admit to much. Ar**holes.
It needs quite a bit tho .. I would have thought 1Meg minimum.
The problem is that multiple devices using the internet at the same time do not equally share the bandwidth from your connection. You could use software such as NetLimiter, which will let you set the amount of bandwidth the PC can use, and therefore always leave some free for the XBox. For playing online, I would think 1 MBit would definitely be sufficient, but you may need to experiment to get the optimum balance between the two.
