hi, i am stuck on a level trying to use the mini bomb on the wall, everytime i go to drop this item it always blows up in my face, whether i have armed the bomb or not, please could you tell me step by step how to use this mini bomb without it blowing up in my face

Apparently lots of other people have this problem too, so it may be some sort of bug however a possible solution may be to crouch down and drop the weapon slowly so the impact doesn't set it off.
