Is it possible that Jesus was married?(to Mary Magdalene)
Also, if he was do you think he has descendants?...

Also, do you think Jesus had siblings(Joseph's/ Mary's children)...and that his bloodline can be traced?

The Nag Hammadi texts certainly throw a new light on the importance of Mary Magdalene but don't suggest they had a relationship as such although they may have been close. The BBC site is a good introduction to Mary Magdelene and the Nag Hammadi texts :

I find it interesting that these texts were ommitted from the Bible.

Although it is possible he had descendents and/or siblings, without more evidence we can never really know for sure either way.

It is possible that he was married and has descendents but I think it is probably unlikely as documents such as the gospel of Philip (in the Nag Hammadi texts) would, I think, have made some reference to this. You never know, maybe more documents will be discovered that shed light on this. It has become well known in theological circles and many churches (since the discovery of these texts) that Mary and Jesus were very close. The Bible does indicate the closeness (although it doesn't spell it out) but unfortunately the church (the early catholic church) demonised Mary Magadalene for various reasons - mainly to fit in with their male-dominated theology. Their understanding of biology has something to do with this. They believed that in every male sperm was a homunculus (a little/miniature man) that grew until the time of birth when a male child was born. A male child was seen as a perfect/whole human being but a female was considered to be an imperfect (not whole) human being but still useful for many reasons, including as an incubator. According to this biological understanding, the early catholic church could not allow an imperfect human being (a woman) to be in a prominent position.

As for brothers and sisters, the Bible indicates that he had brothers and sisters and even names his brothers in Matthew's gospel:

"Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?  And his sisters, are they not all with us?"

Did he really exist??
jesus is one of the most poorly documented 'historical' figures; i doubt he existed, let alone had siblings
I think it highly likely Jesus was married and most likely had children. Why not? After all he had to do something until he was 30 and began his ministry. Now, whether they could rule France is another story...
I started reading Secrets of the Code (a spin off from the Davinci Code by Dan Brown) and from memory it said that it was highly likely that Jesus & Mary were married as he was a rabbi and there just weren't bachelor rabbi's in those times.....
I thought Jesus was a carpenter. Could he be a rabbi and a carpenter?
Maybe the Gospels make no mention of descendents because they saw no reason to mention them. After all, man and woman was put on the earth to have children, so why shouldn't a dutiful Son do what his Father expects?

My second question was actually gonna be "did he exist" which Zen asked....but it plausible?

I'm an atheist, but have no problem believing that Jesus existed and wonder why people doubt that he did. Whether he was the Son of God, that I don't believe - obviously.
Can Jesus's bloodline be traced? That I doubt as there is no confirmed sample of his DNA, therefore no DNA testing of alleged descendants is possible.

EssJay1 says:  *I thought Jesus was a carpenter*

Actually I think that was his dad's job, I don't think it states his occupation in the bible other than being a rabbi.

I made assumptions that the son would follow his father's trade, being as he wasn't in full-time education until the age of 21! I'm not sure that the NT testament gospels refer to JC being a rabbi, but a teacher. I think there is a difference and will check my bible for further references.
Jesus wasn't a rabbi, he was the Son of God and the Messiah - and a very naughty boy!
