I gave some info. to a 'professional' genealogist suggesting that a particular name (father of a relative borne out of wedlock) might be Irish, although he might have been born in England of Irish descent. End result was that it was claimed that Irish records would be too difficult to access, are notoriously 'iffy' and I got left with a blank. All I know is his first(?) christian name and surname, and where and when his illegitimate offspring was borne. Any ideas please?
The tree I eventually got (with some holes in!) was not laid out as I wanted it. I Took all the info supplied and set it out at www.familyecho.com. Very user friendly site.
Thanks Manjo, but as the birth was not until 1923, census is not available is it? Also, I have a copy of the birth certificate produced in 1982. Can I get more detail than that?
I think you can still look up births for 1923. Im doing BILaws tree at present from Ireland and have got further than ever thought possible. If you want to give me details I will try for you but cant guarantee finidng anything
