Army Pension?
Hi all sorry if this is in the wrong section, my brother is moving in with a lady who lost her husband several years ago while he was on active duty, she gets a good army widows pension. M brother and this lady plan to marry. Do they have to declare this to the army now or only when they get married? We are not sure at what point she will lose her pension and they don't want to get into trouble, they may decide to hold off living together until they get married if she loses her pension if he moves in. Can anyone advise please?

The lady in question needs to speak with the Service Personnel & Veterans' Agency, which is a separate agency loosely connected with the MOD.
There is some information about this on this Fact Sheet, which suggests that she would lose the War Widow's Pension on remarrying. The phone number of the Agency is on the Sheet.
