I've just had a look and I can't even find her in the 1871 kaz.I think you should be looking for a male called Jessie,I've searched and can only find in the 1871 James M doughty,wife Jane and 3 sons Joseph,Jessie and Jeremiah.Jessie has been transcribed as a name that looks like Jane the date and place of birth are correct with the info you have given.Hope this makes sense.
