Any idea what the above occupation would have been in 1911 .... the above is how it seems to read on the census ............ this is in the industrial black country where the father's occupation is caol miner/hewer if that helps!! Have googles to no avail!!

researching barge histories, census spelling was very variable, so I think March has got a couple of good occupational leads circa 1911

Wow! Who knew asking such a genuine and straightforward question would create such a flurry of responses ........ really curious about the stuff that's been removed?? Anyway .... I have my answer .... as I said it will be the bags for certain given that the town is famous for leather manufacturing. Thank you to all that replied (well to most anyway!)
Yes March-Hare Walsall is world famous for it's leather products especially saddles.
Dot I have worked for the Joesph Dixon Tool Company in my youth, the wages were broccoli.
