Great Grandfathers Death Record
Hi
I am trying to locate information on my Gt Grandfathers death, for family tree etc. Only problem is I know next to nothing about him other than his name and estimated year of birth, and where he live around the time of my grandfathers birth.
I have put this bit of info into ancestry which returns lots of results. 2 possible then the 'less likely' results. how can i tell if any of these are matches? I wouldn't want to order certificates of death etc and end up paying for the wrong record.
thanks

This would perhaps include things like possible informnt, (wife/son/daughter), occupation is another, you could locate eacxh 'possible' you have already found on the census prior to their death and try to build their family group and place oif residence/occupation, to eliminate them from the registrars choices.
