A friend has found woodlice and carpet moths in a rarely used room. Can anyone suggest what she might use to remove them? Thank you.

A vacuum cleaner to start with!

Regular vacuum cleaning will do it. In addition a steam cleaner will kill off any eggs and break static holding cr@p in the carpet fibres. Vacuum immediately after steam cleaning, and keep up the vacuuming thereafter. The life cycle of the critters may extend over several months from egg to beastie especially with the weather cooling down, so you may need to repeat treatments to ensure riddance.
