Thomas Nally

Do any ABers know of a Thomas Nally born about 1885 (he is on Ancestry) and living on Bakers Hill Heage Derbyshire know of any of his descendants?

I can find his brother Charles's family but nothing for him after 1901 aged 16, I wonder if there's a tramscription error.

FMP - There was a Thomas Nally who left Galway on 26 April 1907 aboard the Sarmatian bound for Boston USA. He was 22 (ie born about 1885), labourer. Nothing to link this record with your Thomas, but can't find your Thomas in 1911.

Sad about his brothers Joseph and William dying so young.

Thanks for your replies, yes I couldn't find any trace of him after the age of 16 when he was then living with his grandfather. He isn't a relative but I've found a book that belonged to him and thought that it would be good to pass it on to descendants if I could find them. What a shame

is there a date inscribed in the book along with his name? Or any clue as to why he had the book?

Yes,DJH, the inscription reads "Thomas Nally recieved (sic) this book for the early attendance at the Primitive Methodist Sunday School.
Over Heage. June 7th 1891"
It's not an important book but it would have been nice to pass it on.

In 1911, Thomas's mother Mary Ann Nally is widowed age 57 and living with her son Charles age 18, in the column how many children from the marriage she filled in 11, 5 living, 6 dead.
The children were:
Israel b,1876 - 1894
Francis b 1878
John b 1881 - 1913 (so alive in 1911)
Ellen 1882 - 1959 (so alive in 1911)
Thomas b 1885
Emma b. 1887 - (alive 1909 marrying william eyre but her daughter is living with the grandparents in 1911)
Joseph 1888 - 1905
Charles 1892 - 1960 (so alive in 1911)
Lucy Hannah b 1890 (alive in 1911 living with uncle John)
William b 1897 - d 1907

so still not found whether thomas was alive in 1911

and yes i know that is only 10 but i can't identify an 11th.

Thanks DJH, frustrating isn't it, I think I'll have to plan an outing to Heage and look around the churchyard and ask if there are any Nally's there, I couldn't find any in the phone book.
