Locating A House On The Census

I know this has been asked before but I can't find the answer .... how do I find a specific house address on the census so I can see who lived there etc ..... I only have the current address .............

Sometimes you have to look through a parish page by page, I'm afraid.

for 1911 it is easy as you can use the census summary books,

for the earlier returns it is not so easy and you have to navigate through the screen. when you select the census on the right is a small set of drop down boxes where you can select the county and town, when you do this on the left more options appear where you can put an address in.
