Hi, I am looking for any relations of James William Seaman who m a Martha Muriel Purcell in Dublin in 1942. James was the son of a Richard Seaman(My Fathers Brother> who died in 1918 two weeks befrore the end of WW1.

Hi March-Hare, I'm actually trying to find any relations of James William Seaman who I now know died in 1961 in Islington as I'm assuming that he & his wife Marta Muriell Purcell had children. If so they probably would be the same age, roughly. as me.

In 1962 James W and Martha M Seaman lived at 51, Tytherton Road, Islington, N19. He died in Islington in 1981. If she died in Herts in 2004, she may have been living with or near her children.

Searching for births of Seaman children with a mother's maiden name of Purcell across England & Wales between 1941 and 1961 gives:

Susan F Seaman 1956 West Ham
John R Seaman 1955 West Ham
Elizabeth M Seaman 1953 West Ham

Hi March Hate, Following on the details you have sent I have found that John R Seaman m a Kathleen M Lillis in 1975 but I can find no address or tel no anywhere in uk. I would assume that he would probably be living near his Mother around Barnet(Where she died). I have been working on him solely as he still has the same surname so any ideas would be most welcome. Kathleen M Seaman show on a search on www.192.com, right up to 2014 ............ John R Seaman is listed alongside her..... I don't have an account with this website, and you need an account/credits to be able to show the postal address. In previous years' listings there have also been a James K Seaman, an Alexandra L Seaman and a Rebecca A Seaman listed too. Ancestry searches show Alexandra Lucy born Brent, 1981, Rebecca Amy born Brent, 1983. I have not found a birth record for James K Seaman with mothers maiden name of Lillis (so this may be another relative other than a child perhaps)

I have searched Facebook (which is difficult as you perhaps know as it's not possible to narrow down location/age) and also LINKEDIN which as you may know is a networking site from professionals/employees ............ I haven't found anything. My final hope will be to look for a marriage of Alexandra or/and Rebecca in the hope that they may have married someone with an unusual name that I may be able to trace on Facebook.

Marriage records are only available up to 2007 ie nothing more recent (online anyway) ................ and there is nothing listed for Alexandra or Rebecca unfortunately. I have tried just a straightforward google search for both girls and also both parents but nothing comes up ............ I think buying a few credits for www.192.com is your best bet - as this will give you the most recent address ............... sorry I can't help more, but hopefully it's a start x

A Susan F Seaman married Christopher J Singer 2nd quarter 1976 in Islington. Ancestry UK does not list any children.

There are 3 possible marriages for Elizabeth M Seaman:

1. 3rd quarter 1975 Bury St Edmunds to David J E Ward

2. 1st quarter 1978 Hillingdon to Paul A C Blower

3. 2nd quarter 1979 Blackburn to Dennis R Smith

The most probable is no 2, both by location and the name of the first of the 3 children, namely:

a. Susan Moyra Blower registered 2nd quarter 1978

b. Keith Richard Blower registered 4th quarter 1980

c. Karen Nicola Blower registered April 1984, all in Hillingdon.
