Where To Obtain A Certified Copy
11 Answers
Advice please as to where I can get a 'Certified Copy' of my Birth Certificate. The Post Office will do this for every document except Birth,Marriage & Death Certificates. Advice as to from whom else I can request this service would be appreciated.

I've lost my copy.
Just to throw a spanner in the works (sorry) but someone at the DWP told me that your local Registry Office will provide you a copy.
I did obtain my last copy from the area I was born in, but what if you happen to be a few hundred miles away?

Thank you all for your responses. What I thought was going to be a simple process has become a bit complicated. I require my certified copy urgently and all my enquires lead me to going back to my area of birth. As this was Malaya (my father was a serviceman)I will have to deal with London. Many thanks anyway.
They can be purchased online: https:/ /www.gr o.gov.u k/gro/c ontent/ certifi cates/
By the way it is a Register Office, not a Registry Office.
Hope this helps
