Missing Backpacker
Just caught the lunchtime news on the radio and the police in New Zealand believe they have found the body of Grace Millane, the British backpacker, missing for eight days. Once again, i am left to wonder just how anyone can take another person's life, for whatever reason. Grace was just 22, very clever, and with a promising life ahead of her. A life needlessly ended. I can only imagine what her family must be going through in this darkest of times. My heart really goes out to them.

What i cannot get my head around is, if you are going to rob someone or, heaven forbid, rape someone. Then do just that. But why murder them? Why ruin the lives of not only her family and friends, but yours, too. Utterly, utterly needless and senseless.
It goes without saying, surely, that the family would be devastated, any family and a situation that doesn't bare thinking about from a personal level.
I have never been a fan of "gap years" OR "Backpacking" and certainly not alone.
A girl aged 22 years of age, in a country far away, goes to a club, meets a man, presumably for the first time and then goes back to his hotel.
As tambo says "Young girl travelling world alone is full of danger."
Very true.
