How apt that the blandest Dr Who ever has the blandest ever edition of Who Do You Think You Are, usually one of my favourite series. I’d say that I can’t wait for her to be replaced as the Time Lord, but we all know the BBC’s priorities for her replacement will be box-ticking political correctness. What do you reckon? More disappointing is that David Walliams is next up on WDYTYA
A clever comedian and highly rated children's author who thinks the public persona of someone's perverted uncle is an attractive persona to present to the world at large.
Mamyalynne, it is your beloved BBC that do the box-ticking, and to such an extent in recent times that that once great institution has become a pathetic joke no longer fit for purpose
Haven't watched Dr Who so the name meant nothing to me, I find David Walliams a complex character ,camp as Christmas but I think his story will be interesting so I will watch it
Thank you for singling me out Blip, the BBC is not 'beloved' to me - it does turn out some good programmes as well as some I don't touch with a barge pole.
Like everyone I choose what to watch.
I fail to see how having a female in a show such as Dr Who is controversial in any way - she's not the best Doctor but she certainly isn't the worst.
Can't comment on Dr Who as I've never watched it in my life, but I saw Jodie in Broadchurch and she seemed good in that. I did watch WDYTYA last night and I did find it boring. One of the best I saw was when it was Mark Rylance. Will watch David Walliams next week and hope he has his serious hat on and doesn't flaff about.
