'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a person in search of an actor's shirt must have more money than sense.'

I've got a few shirts for sale.....£250 a pop will do fine.

I want to watch it again now.  Best thing ever!  Not him in his shirt - just that particular production of Pride and Prejudice.  As television programmes go that is perfection!

I understand that the proceeds of the shirt sale is going to a charity, so at least that's welcome.

I also understand there is no guarantee that the shirt purchased was the one used in the production as there were up to ten shirts used.

They obviously couldn't wait for a shirt to dry between takes 😀

Budgets? Cost of Living Crisis? Financial squeeze? It's all a myth. A myth, I tell you!

I absolutely loved that production of P&P and my goodness Colin Firth was fantastic, but I would only be interested if he had just stepped out of the shirt.  The shirt is merely laundry; the man himself would be where my interest was.

I've never understood why many found this scene really sexy. The shirt was long and shapeless - and wasn't even that wet!  But if he'd emerged from the lake stripped to the waist, sopping wet it would be a different story

Actually I think the wet shirt is what makes it sexy - naked men don't do much for me but the damp clingy shirt did make him look rather lush.

A few years back I bought a football shirt on ebay for a tenner worn by Teddy Sheringham.
