A good friend of mine trades on Amazon, has done for about 2 years and has worked really really hard to build his account up. Then last week out of the blue they said they were suspending his A/C due to reports of duplicate listings etc.... not having a clue what they were on about they said he had 'stolen' a listing from another seller, which he hasn't, it just happened to be the same, only the other seller listed it 1st. The only way they will re-instate it is if he gets something in writing from this other seller giving him permission. He has emailed them 8 or 9 times, messaged them.... nothing. Even tho he can see they have received these messages. Only thing left Amazon says is to write to him. But my friend doesn't have the address and it is not on Amazon. Amazon say well we aren't going to give you the address, you're going to have to find it! My poor friend is at his wits end as his whole business is about to go up in smoke, and I don't know what else to suggest to him. Is there anything that we haven't thought of or could try to get the address?? The seller is called Hamperly Gifts, and they seem to sell mostly chocolate. All he wants is the address to send a letter. TIA x

Hi L-I-K, yes that's them - but he needs their address to send a letter. Can't believe how Impossible it is to find when it's an actual business!

How about mentioning to to your friend that he opens another account on Amazon using another E mail address and your home address instead of his. Just a thought. Good luck.

Glad I could help, Smow - good luck to your friend!

My friend says Thankyou so much - he doesn't know if he will get a reply to a letter but as least he's tried x

I see many sellers selling the same things, some with identical listings. I didn't know that was a problem.

Hope your friend gets it sorted

Bozzer, I found this on Google:

"Soot" is a name given to a Border Collie, a working dog breed known for its intelligence and herding abilities, and the name "Collie" comes from the Scottish black-faced sheep the breed was assigned to watch.

I'd suggest keeping a copy & sending it registered (or whatever requires a signature on receipt), just in case Amazon dispute it for any reason.

Fbg - if it comes to the worst he is going to try and open another account under his uncles address, but he would have to somehow set up a diff emal address that hasn't come from his computer, as if they detect IP addresses it will come bk to his house.,

Isn't there a government website somewhere giving details of all companies ? I'm sure I've come across one on a number of occasions.

Not all Amazon sellers are limited companies, listed at Companies House

Smow, he could use a computer at the local library

Barry - funnily enough that's exactly what I thought of 10 mins ago lol.

If your friend needs a name to go in front of that address, it's Joshua Worsley, who's the sole director of that company.

Oh Thanku Chris, that's fab!!
