where do i find details of individuals. i have my family tree dated back to 1574, i would like to be able to fill in the various details of each individual where possible. june

If you have that far back, the records used would likely be the parish register entries for births and marriages, you can use the IGI to locate the event, the IGI is organised by county and then by surname within a county and then in chronological order, with marriages and christening mixed in. later on, when you get into the 1600s and 1700s there may be some chance of locating the Probate records, once you get to 1841 there are census returns every ten years available up to 1901 and from 1937 there is a cicil registration system that you can use to obtain the birth marriage and death records, or hatched matched and despatched as we say in family History circles.
