My grandad became a male nurse sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's, is there anyway I can find a registraion for him, and perhaps where he worked? He lived in Edinburgh, there was some talk that he had worked up at Edinburgh Castle as someone said there was a hospital there. I would really like to find something about this as he was killed in 1938 in a hit and run in Edinburgh and I am trying to put something of his life together. Any help would be gratefully received.

Edinburgh castle hospital was converted to a military hospital in 1897, i think possibly the garrison at the modern castle may be able to help you via the museum there.
