help with finding a death certificate

can anyone help with death date for christopher siney born in ireland in about 1898, mother annie father james, married mary grace bolton in edinburgh 1921 but never officially divorced from her so bit of a puzzle there, much appreciated have tried loads of sites but came up with blanks

I see Mary Grace died in 1987.......can you give any dates....for example the last year you knew he was alive and any idea where he lived. Mary Grace died in Northumberland so do you know if he also lived there.

sorry dont know much apparently he left home in the 1930s under a bt of a cloud, just trying to find out anything as the surname is unusual and thought it would show up somewhere. Is there anyway that a divorce can be traced if you dont have any dates or place names just incase they did get divorced.
