Can anybody tell me the origin of the name Zolierowski, as Iam having no luck.

Only two instances of the name appear in the GRO index for England and Wales, a marrage in the East End and a birth in Essex, both in 1903.
In that variant the name does not appear on the 1901 England and Wales census but I assme it will in the 1911.

Nothing came up in the 1911 Census, not even with the 'include variants' selected. The only record that did appear was in the passenger lists. A Jan Zolnierowski departed Southampton on 16 August 1927 on the SS Olympic (White Star Line) bound for New York. He was 36 years of age and was Polish. He didn't have any family with him, but was with quite a few other Polish nationals. He arrived in the UK in London, on a Baltic ship - can't quite make out what the word is. I take it from that he was passing through the UK and not resident.

You have used two different spellings in this post- is it ZOLINEROWSKI or Zolierowski?

The ending OWSKI marks the name as being almost certainly of Polish origin as Polish uses W where other Slavic languages use V.

I did type in the spelling as in the original question. The passenger list record that popped up was for the spelling Zolnierowski. I have viewed the original and that is quite clear.

I think the entry in the steamship line column says 'Baltic Corporation'.

ancestry only shows the two GRO English entries and one from 1993 in Florida bt the familtsearch.org shows a couple in Prussian records 19c and Denmark too,

dothawkes31, thanks again, charles Adrien Zolinerowski did get married 25 April 1903 in East London. To Rose Kate Easthope. He was born in France, but the origin of the name you think is PRUSSIAN. THANK YOU

Charles Adrien Zolinerowski subsequently changed his surname to Damey and apears on the 1911 census as such.

His parents were Charles Zolinerowski and Marie nee Driancourt and his father was a cap maker and had a shop in the East end of London under the name Damy
