I often think this whne watching another episode showing brilliant heroism of Brits during one or other of the world wars and, given the terrible history from WWII thought - is the Who Do You Think You Are show made in Germany? I suspect there isn't too much interest in rooting around what the family got up to in the 1930s/40s over there.

I have a slight interest as my grandmother is German (she was 14 when the war ended) and often wonder what the German side did during the war.

I haven't heard of a German version of the show, there is a US version, nothing like as good as the UK ones and quite superficially dramatic. I would also be interested in a German version as my kids great great grandma was from Saxe Coburg arriving in London around 1870.
If you like, tell me a bit about the show. It sounds interesting. I am in Germany and could possibly tell you if there is an equivalent here.
