Is Roswell a true UFO story, or just a load of baloney?
8 Answers
It is the anniversary of the Roswell incident on July 8, when the spaceship was supposed to have crashed into the New Mexico desert. Does anyone buy into the UFO theory? Or is the weather balloon reason given by the US government the only rational explanation?

Watching different documentaries it seems there are as many reputable witness & believers as there are "cranks" & with some of the things governments have concealed over the years I suppose the Americans could have been concealing something, but again with the amount of people who must have been involved over the years its difficult to believe something provable hasn't leaked by now
Actually, it's much more than just a weather balloon... it was a part of Project Mogul as seen here: http://www.csicop.org/si/9507/roswell.html

I think it's important to understand that a lot of what goes into a person's belief in such things comes from the segment of the citizenry that is ddeply suspicious of government. There has to be a government cover-up and that's the major thrust of the world-view... in my opinion...

I would take that Daily Mail article with a pinch a salt as it is written by Nick Pope - what Clanad would call a hard core believer. Personally I don't doubt that there are other intelligent beings out there, and I think that they have visited Earth. However there are many reasons for thinking that Roswell was not one of them. But just because there was not a UFO at Roswell doesn't mean that they don't exist.
I think it's true. There were lots of witnesses as well as news paper articles that were quickly changed after the Government got involved. You can see the newspapers here http://alien-ufo-research.com/Roswell why else would the reporters say that as well as army people and then retract their stories???
