It was a 1961 Lincoln Continental Four-door convertible limousine, that JFK was riding in when he was assassinated. The car was custom built by Hess &  Eisenhardt and was known as the X-100.

At the time of the assassination, the car was painted dark blue and had a 1962 grille. It was later returned to H & E for extensive modifications, including armor plating, and the custom fitted front bumper cone lights were removed and replaced with simple chrome bumper plugs, and the limo was repainted black at the request of President Johnson. The limousine is now at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan

Though the back seat has had a wipe-down before it was put on display.
