The Stone Tape, 1972

This is a long shot. In 1972, the BBC broadcast a couple of the creepiest plays I can recall. One was The Stone Tape, the other one I cannot remember. It was about a dinner party where the outside ceased to exist and the consequences, again very spooky. Does anyone of the older ABers recall its name please?

Is that the one where they all starved to death in the end? They go to a cottage and it is really creepy and they can't get out. The food tastes awful so they can't eat? I remember that, it was really scary!

Yes it sounds exactly like that, why can't the BBC make programes of this quality any more, it's stayed with me for 40 years, along with The Stone Tape?
