The Pirates of Penzance
Two pirates, who had not seen each other for some time, met up in The Black Spot pub.
Since they had last met – one pirate had lost his right hand and was wearing a patch over his left eye.
The other pirate asked how he had lost his hand.
‘I was fighting foreign pirates in Penzance, one of them cut it off with a sword, I was lucky to survive, with the ships surgeon fitting me with a hook for my right hand’.
‘And what about your eye’- he asked.
‘Well I was up in ships crows nest, when a seagull sh*t in my eye’
‘What; seagull sh*t made you blind?’ – he asked, with astonishment.
‘No, but it was my first day with the hook’
