Golfer Henry Cotton is known to have died soon after accepting his knighthood - so i assume he never actually attended the ceremony?
If so , who has died the quickest after the knighthood Investiture ?

Just a matter of days for P G Wodehouse
Within days of being granted his knighthood P.G. Wodehouse was admitted into Long Island's Southhampton Hospital. ... It was here that he died on 14th February 1975 - according to http://www.infobritai...graphy_And_Visits.htm
The link above says that Wodehouse did not attend the investiture, his wife represented him.
