Dell Laptop
When I insert a DVD into my Laptop is says that I have 5 chances to select which region I want the player to be.
Is there any way to remove this so that I can make my Laptop any region I want, when I want?

When you put a DVD in, it asks you if you want to keep this as the region, i.e., put a region 2 dvd in and it asks if you want to store this region.
Placing a region 0 DVD in is a good idea, but I don't have one!!
Any way to get round the programme and have infinite chances to change the region?
This is a normal feature on all DVD ROMs. It's to stop people watching films from another region that are currently not licensed to view in your region. I know that it's easy to purchase other region DVDs but they're not interested in this.
The reason it allows you 5 goes is if you put the first region in incorrectly and if you reformat your drive and you have to select it again.
I think it actually writes directly to the ROM memory on the DVD drive. You might be able to download a DVD utility program that will allow region free or unlimited region access (via choosing each time).
Do a search on google for 'region free dvd utility' and see what you come up with. You may have to know the make, model and version (flash) of your DVD player.
My 2d: I think the player is probably region free so you will not need to patch it. However, it is not software region free so you need something like dvd43 from here http://www.dvd43.com/ to unlock the windows software. Once unlocked it will play all regional DVDs.
