Why do you ask?!!!
Yes it was sunk by a terrorist bomb planted by Iceama Berg Laden
Is that a Daily Mail headline before it was subbed down ?
Don't be silly, everybody knows it was a sunk by an alien death ray.
nah it was the gun man on the grassy knolls first hit
It didn't really sink. It's living under an assumed name in South America.
it was me. i did it.
Somebody pulled the plug....

Birdie...I've been sat loooking for the best video of it.....but the cat has taken prime position..so all is lost..;-(
Thank God the anniversary is over today.

Its been really boring the past few week on TV and the media with all the experts etc, telling us what went wrong and how it could have been avoided.

It sank 100 years ago, end of story!
agree trt....sad but...move on we know the ending.
I watched a programme which stated that the sinking of the Titanic resulted in the greatest loss of life in maritime history. The presenters seem to have overlooked the loss of RMS Lancastria, sunk off St Nazaire in WWII while evacuating thousands of British troops from France. She sankwith the loss of over 4000 lives, more than the sinking of Titanic and Lusitania put together.
sorry to say but this was the funniest post i have seen in ages. Especially
Elvis's answer, brilliant
Lord Lucan was on the boat too.
I saw a programme the other night on one of the Nat Geo channels (can't remember) which said that the Titanic went into an area which causes temperatures to fall rapidly and the sky was so bright that you could see a blanket of stars and you couldn't tell which was the sky and which was the ocean due to the stillness of the water and the reflection of the stars on the water. The iceberg coudn't be seen until it was too late and when they swerved to avoid it they didn't swerve far enough as the ice extended out under the water.

Also said these icy conditions can cause mirages which is why the ship which was 5 miles away from the Titanic didn't realise it was the Titanic. The flashing SOS signal from the Titanic was just seen as a twinkilng star.

It was a very interesting programme.
If the film 'A night to remember' is to be believed it was caused by human error, because the telegraph operator overlooked the warning of the iceberg
and continued to cover it up with other messages.
^^

It isn't!
the Titanic was going to fast in bad conditions, that was the experts opinion on any number of programmes i watched recently. That she was further away from help because the coordinates given out to the nearest vessel were wrong. red flares were fired from the ship which were seen, but not acted upon because at that time it was not seen as a warning that a ship was in critical danger.
That changed like a lot of things after the inquest into the disaster. Like having a lifeboat for every passenger, which wasn't the case with the Titanic.
I hope you mean "enough lifeboats for all the passengers" em - one per passenger is quite a lot :-)
